Dear Church Family,
We will honor Pastor Reggie’s memory in a Celebration of Life Service on Friday, December 7th at 1 p.m. Dr. Marian Osborne and her family will receive guests at a Viewing the same day, from 11 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. before the service. A reception will follow at 2 p.m. All of these will be hosted at Victory Church, 3499 NW 2nd Ave., Boca Raton, FL 33431.
Please continue to pray for Dr. O and their family. Our dear Pastor Reggie unexpectedly went home to be with His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the Friday after Thanksgiving Day.
Pastor Reggie and Dr. O were in New Jersey to spend Thanksgiving with their daughters, their son in law and all of their grandchildren. They were truly excited about this trip and opportunity to have the whole family together. We all know how proud Pastor Reggie always was of his family and how much he loved them.
Pastor became ill while on the visit and was admitted to the hospital. While in the hospital, he had a heart attack and went home to be with the Lord. We ask you to lift Dr. O and their daughters, son in law and grandchildren to our Father in prayer for strength and comfort during this time.
Pastor Reggie and Dr. O are so loved by the Victory family and we understand you will feel this loss. During this time, we ask that you comfort one another with the knowledge that Pastor Reggie is rejoicing in heaven in the presence of His Savior. He’s likely giving Jesus that happy thumbs up expression he often gave each of us, and blessing the Lord with his warm, wide smile. We don’t doubt that he is dancing and certainly singing (as he always encouraged us to do) praises to our God.
Certainly, we were all so blessed to love and know a man that radiated God’s love and shared it with everyone. Pastor Reggie was full of God’s wisdom, love and grace. He spent his life sharing this grace and the freedom that comes along with it to everyone he came in contact with.
“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”
2 Corinthians 5:8
“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
In His love,
Pastor Don and Cathy Karpinen
